Windows 2000 Pro and Adaptec 4.02

I know adaptec 4.02 works in win2k. my question is do I need to install anything before I install Adaptec 4.02?
I heard that you had to update something to get your CDRW to work.

Just install 4.0, reboot and then install the update (probably reboot again). That worked for me
