This just started today in the morning when I turned it on like usual.

It would get to the Windows 2000 loadup screen then after its loaded (All the blue bars are shown) but before the logon screen and desktop screen shows up, a blue error (hardware) screen shows up for half a second then the computer restarts. I can't read the blue error screen because it dissapears too fast. I try to run in safe mode but it still does the same thing. I do last good configuration and same thing happens. The only thing I can do is run DOS or format which I do not want to do. I have tried repair and it hasn't worked either.

My computer had restarted like this but without the blue error screen sometimes when I turned it on but after 2-3 restarts it would load up into desktop but now it doesn't even load into desktop

Any suggestions?

Did you load any new drivers? It has to be either a very low level device driver (motherboard chipset, or IDE controller) if it won't boot into safe mode.

Does the hard drive make any crunching sounds? Or sound like it's trying to access the same spot over and over? I've seen a failed sector on a drive where a needed DLL is stored make Windows BSOD.

I think this problem is fixed... I made an emergency disk after reading from another board on how to make one and it actually worked.

I would still recommend checking to make sure everything is hooked up tightly and check your BIOS to see if anything is running a bit inregularly. I'm sure that you don't want to run into the problem again, so it's best to check just to make sure.
