Windows 2000 Networking

I just got a new laptop with Windows 2000 Professional but I am having problems with networking. I can get out to the Internet fine over my LAN, but when I try to browse computers on Windows Me, it says "\\xxxx is not accessible. There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request." Can anyone help? Thanks.

Have you checked to make sure they don't have the same comp name? Also that TCP/IP is auto. And that file and print sharing is active?

I'd check and make sure there aren't any domains setup. Also make sure that they are setup on the same workgroup.

Edit: cool! That was my senior post! Woohoo!
