LAst Friday A crapy little box running a P3 650 with 512 mb of ram was totally happy and full of bliss! This morning I went to access the network and all of the computers on my network do not show up.
I have gone through and bascially turned on most of the services that pertain to networking in Windows 2K. With no luck! Any ideas what would make make my network unbrowsable??? I can however still access the machine from any computer on the network. Also when I right Click my computer on the desktop it apperas that no connections are available because the network ID function is greyed out.... Ughhh!!! Looks like a reinstall no??? HAve run chkdsk and defreaged with no avail. I can ping all machines on the lan and internet.

Any ideas/??? TIA!

You're unable to browse the network in my network places?
Thats a Netbios/Master Browser issue.
What are your netbios settings?

Thats the problem I cant seem to find anything anywhere in the settings about netbios. Right clicking on the nic and the properties say netbios over tcp/ip. I have even gone so far as to remove all of the network adaptors, Making sure I had all of the network services started, and by restarting numerous times repaired with re installation then finally gave up after 4- 5 hours...

I wish that Bill Gates would stop making new Operating systems and work the bugs out of the existing ones!!

Grateful for any input!
