i am sure someone has the answer to this situation.
my current setup at the office is a computer that is set up with windows 2000 on ntfs, i need to find a way to increase the maximum users at one time if possible. it currently will only allow 10 users to be logged in at a time. i had windows 98se which allowed all user with their drives mapped to this computer to be able to access the drive but win2000 will not allow but 10 user.
any help will be appreciated.

You need Win2K Sever and setup a domain. Win2K Pro workgroup only allows a max of 10 users which you have found out.

You do need Server for more than 10 connections but you don't necessarily need a domain.

If it's just a file server then Linux or *BSD runnig Samba will do the trick for free. Just a thought if it's a smaller office without much cash to spare.
