Windows 2000 - IRQ problems

Why does Windows 2000 take over the IRQ assignments and do it's own "thang" ????

I specifically assigned IRQs so that my peripheral cards would not share IRQs with one another...

How do I change them under Windows 2000? Thanks

Yeah, I freaked out when I first saw all the sharing, but that is part of W2K's architecture and you shouldn't worry. You also shouldn't be taking a performance hit unless you don't have enough RAM. I think we will all agree that 256mb is the bare minimum, especially with how cheap RAM is right now.

Thanks guys!

I "updated" the computer driver to make it a standard PC.

Now the IRQs are assigned the way I wanted them to be assigned.

I did have problems with the TV Tuner - it was becoming distorted with the IRQ being shared...
