I will be sharing my dsl connection with three others computer at home. I was considering purchasing WinGate Home edition, as I don't need all the pretty management utilities, just to be able to share the dsl.
I was wondering if anyone is using Windows 2000 built in Internet Connection Sharing option. Is it better than WinGate? simpler maybe? How about network stability?
DHCP and so on?
The machine wich will receive the connection (mine) is a Win2k SP2 Workstation with a Plll 1GHz and 512MB of ram. The other computers are two Win2k notebooks (Plll 750/128Megs and a Pll 300/64Megs) and a Win98SE PC (Plll 750/256Megs). Is there problems sharing the internet connection between Win2k and Win98?
