i dont know if this belongs in highly technical, but i thought this would be a good place to find someone who knows error codes for operating systems.
in trying to upgrade my mates computer on his network at his office (hes the boss) from Win98 to Win2000 the system returns this error
setupdd.sys could not be loaded. the error code is 7
plus a many other times it freezes during the setup of booting off the CD
yes the hardware is sufficient.
does anyone know what error code 7 is for Win2000??
its a fresh install.i think i might know what it could be as i have seen a simliar thing happen before, but that was with Win98 (and as far as i know Win98 has installed no probs before on it)
