My gf have an IBM 390X laptop that uses dialup access. It contracted 11 viruses & over 100 spies ware that Ad-aware & Spybot found & destroyed, but they didn?t remove the dialersex.com. I have to manually remove it from the programs, sytem32 directory & registry.
I don't know if dialer.exe have anything to do with dialup or not but after remove it the dialup connection no longer work. I keep getting the 720 PPP error after verifying username & password > registering screen. I have try uninstall & reinstall TCP/IP, create new network connection, delete & reinstall the Lucent win modem and all of them fail. (I have try copy a fresh dialer.exe into the appropriate directory but it still don?t work)
Cable connection is working, therefore it it not a TCP/IP problem.
Is there a quick fix to this before I do a full reinstall?
