windows 2000 dropping network connection

Hi all! just installed windows 2000 on a computer and it intermittently drops the network connection (about 5 minutes into the session) such that I have to disable the connection and then reenable it to make it work again. It was working perfectly in win98se so the NIC is not a problem. Is there a fix for this? I know some of you others have encountered this problem . . .? the NIC is a D-Link DFE-530TX. thanks for your help!

ewww ... dlink... not that it's a bad brand but i don't like it

did you check to see if the nic supports windows 2k? and check for updated drivers?

If you connection isn't the problem it might be the drivers

i don't have a problem with my network so i'm not sure

good luck
