Windows 2000 desktop icon text background color

In XP, Icons on the desktop have a place under them where text goes (such as Firefox icon + "Firefox" written in the text underneath), and the background color can be done away with so that the desktop looks nicer and only the text shows, not the color. Can Win2k be made to do this?

I don't believe so.

If nothing is turned up here, try google groups, that usually throws some good returns.

I used 2k pretty much from release, and I've never fond a method of doing is.
