I have used the Analyse option within the defragmenter but it keeps saying "this drive does not need defragmenting" depsite the graphic showing bits of stuff all over the place.

How fragmented does it have to get before it thinks it needs defragmenting?

Also, whats the defragmenter like in XP, does it have the 98 style graphic with the little boxes showing stuff all over the place? I liked that.....:D

NT uses disk space differently than win9x. dont be concerened too much about the graphic...diskeeper is the best defragger there is.

Right, well I am using FAT32 rather than NTFS, does that make a difference there. I was just wondering how badly fragemented the drive has to get before windows recommended a defragment after analyse.
