Windows 2000 BSOD during Install

I've got an interesting question for you guys n gals.

I'm trying to run an unattended install of Windows 2000 Pro over the network (booting up off a network bootdisk), everything runs fine until just after the file-copy part (still in the Text portion of the install). I think it is trying to scan the hardware.

It gives me a STOP error, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and tells me to check drivers, video adapter, etc.

If I install from CDROM, it goes fine. If I try to install over the network, it fails.

Any ideas?

My first guess would be the NIC driver it's using for the network install. KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED is a driver related issue.

What type of hardware are you trying to install 2000 on? Also, what is the NIC? What version of the DOS drivers are you using?

Installing on a Compaq Deskpro EN 350, Intel 10/100 NIC card (PXE compliant).

Also, I installed Windows 2000 locally on the machine, and once it was done I ran the /checkupgradeonly. It found nothing wrong with the hardware.

The DOS drivers are from Intel's website.
