windows 2000 auto reboot

I was wondering if anyone knew how to disable windows 2000 from automatically rebooting after a windows update. I've seen solutions for Windows XP by changing the setting in the group policy, but that option doesn't exist in windows 2000. I found one site told the registry setting, but that's windows XP only also. I've spent quite a while googling it and havn't been able to figure it out. Any ideas?

Don't do this.

If you can't reboot, don't start the update. Only install the updates when you're prepared to immediately reboot.

The machine IS NOT patched until the reboot takes place.

Worse, installing but not rebooting can leave your machine with mismatched files.

I did a new install of Win2K.

Since I happened to have ALL the KB updates after svc pack 4 I just installed
them all at once without re-booting.

After a half day of flailing around and trying to get the mess to work I
cleared the drive and started over, re-booting when told to. Amazing how
much better it worked following the instructions.

Good old MS does actually do some things for a reason.
