Windows 2000 and Windows 98SE

Here's the deal:

Computer A has Windows 2000.
Computer B has Windows 98SE
Computer C has Windows 98SE

Computer A can see Computer B and take files. Computer B cannot see Computer A because it says to enter some type of network password to access that computer, I NEVER SET ONE UP! How do I disable it? They 2 Computers are on the same workgroup.

Computer C is in it's own little world. It cannot see either computers and when it wants me to put in the Windows 98 CD to copy network files, I put it in but the file it is looking for isn't there. It's supposed to be some files in E:\INSTALL\WinCabs\98fe. Where is this at on the CD? Is it on the hard drive?

Make sure all 3 machines are in the same Workgroup and then try install NetBEUI on the 2 98 PC's and see if that helps.

Nah - what you need to do is to make sure all 3 machines are on the same workgroup like Cooky said.

BUT - more importantly - make sure that the 98 machines are users in the 2000 machine.

Right click on My Computer (W2k Machine)
-> Manage my computer or Management
-> Users and Groups
-> Users
-> Right click the empty space and add new user. Enter the name of the 98 computers and leave them w/o passwords.
->Reboot all PCs if necessary
