Windows 2000 and VIA?

I have a Asus CUV4X Mobo based on the VIA chipset. I also have a Pentium 3 800MHz with a 133MHz FSB. I also have a ATA 66 IBM hard drive @ 7200 RPM's and 256 MB of PC 133 ram. So what I would like to know is why Windows 2000 runs like crap? Is it the VIA chipset. I used to have a Asus P3B-F mobo based on the Intel 440 BX chipset and Win 2000 ran great. What gives. Any answers for me? BTW, I have all the latest drivers from VIA and All of my hardware.:disgust:
