Windows 2000, and Radeon

I have a Radeon 64DDR, and I want to goto Windows 2000, but I have heard that the drivers for the Radeon are not stable or very compatable in 2k. Are there any new drivers out that work good in 2k? I do some gamming (half-life, Project IGI, Soldier of Fortune, etc) and I use the net and I also mess around with networking too.
 
According to the latest Anandtech review of Radeon performance in Windows 2000, users will still have to wait a while until ATI optimizes their drivers. They sure have their hands full.
