Windows 2000 and large icons

While I was using XP, I downloaded some nice large icons to use with my system but now that I am using Windows 2000, some of the icons don't show when I open my icon folder. Instead, you see the default icon symbol. Is there something I can do about this problem because I would like to use all the nice icons I have. Thanks

Are the XP and the 2000 competers set at different screen resolutions?

Yeah, everything was the same except for the OS. I could clearly see the icons in XP but in W2k, all I see the the default icon and the name of the icon.
