I have a windows 2000 AD setup, my question is

Is there anyway to force 1 login per username an password?

My problem is this, I have teachers here who are logging in as themselves more then once so that students who have not signed the "acceptable computer use policy" can have access the the network.

Obviously some things could change with the people, but if they have done it once, they will do it again.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you are asking how to restrict users to log on to only one machine.

Take a look at the properties of a user account in AD users and computers. Click on the account tab, then the logon to button. You can specify computers they are allowed to log on to here.

What if he wants them to be able to log into more then 1 machine, but only 1 at a time? That's where I think he is really going with this.

There is a beta of a tool that MS is coming out with to limit concurrent logins. I'll find the link and post later.

That's exactly what i'm trying to do. When a user logs into my AD directory it's mounting volumnes. Teachers get access to different volumnes then students obviously. And there can be sensitive data that prying eyes shouldn't be seeing.

I'm gonna check out this beta tool.

Thanks for the help guys.
