Don't know why this started recently, but I don't know how to undo it. I'm logged in with admin privilege under my account. Whenever I move, copy, or delete file on my desktop or
"You'll need to provide administrator permission to ..." alert and I have to click through it. Anyone know how I can undo this? thanks!

Check what user owns the folder(s) for your desktop.

C:\Users\<your username>\Desktop

If you are not the owner, that would explain why you get those prompts. From your post, this ONLY happens on the desktop and not other folders.

Also make sure your Desktop is actually pointing to YOUR Desktop and not somewhere else like the Public user desktop. And verify that the items you are trying to move are in your Desktop folder and not in the Public/Desktop folder.

I am logged in as the Administrator, my computer name is MOARCOAR

The desktop owner is
Owner: Administrators (MOARCOAR\Administrators)

Only me and SYSTEMS has Full Control.

The Desktop path is
C:\Users\MyUserName\Desktop
