Several months ago I purchased Windows 11 Pro retail version through the Microsoft Store. Are the transferability benefits the same in the boxed retail version of Windows 11 and the digital retail version of Windows 11 that is purchased directly through the MIcrosoft Store? So if I close my old Microsoft Store account (I already have a new one with a new email address), that digital retail copy of Windows 11 that I purchased through my old Microsoft Store account would not become void or should I have bought the boxed retail version if I wanted that option? I mean they are both legit retail versions, just one does not come in physical form, but I still wonder if Microsoft places more restrictions on the retail digital download purchased directly through them than the retail physical version purchased through a retail store or directly through them.

Once installed Windows 11 looks for your Microsoft account when you log-on to Windows 11 and either activates or maintains activation, it doesn't care where or when you purchased it, only that it is legit. Just be sure you save you activation code, just in case there is a problem in the future and don't be afraid to call, they are friendly ;)
