Like the title says, my PC semi-shuts off, but not fully. When I push the button on my tower to trigger hibernate, it initially acts like it's going to hibernate. Everything starts to close out, the monitor screens black out as expected, the LED lights on my tower shut off, but then for some odd reason, the fans in my PC keep running. So, it is still on to some limited extent, but not a clue why

I tried running various command prompt commands, like the "DISM" cleanup image one, as well as "scf /scannow". Neither caught anything or made any difference

I saw that it could possibly be tied to an issue with my graphics driver (I use the "AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition" for my PC). So, I fully reinstalled that, but haven't tested hibernate since that (using my PC right now)

I haven't installed any new software lately, no hardware changes, nothing that I changed on my end. Just started happening seemingly out of nowhere. Not sure what else I could try at this point?

If it could be tied to the graphics driver, why not go ahead and try that? At worst, it will take 10-20 seconds away from using the PC? I used to use hibernate but didn't find as much need once I started running the OS off an SSD, since boot times are so fast now.

Anyway if it worked previously then just started happening with no changes, then I suspect the change was some windows update and would look through which of those were installed recently.

Just for the heck of it, I'd also look in Power Management Options or whatever it's called to make sure that the case power button is still tied to hibernate instead of sleep.
