Windows 10 updating: Home vs. Pro question

Question about Windows 10 Home vs. Pro:
If someone has purchased a new PC with Windows 10 Home RTM build 10240 installed, can he/she also optionally update to newer Windows Insider builds (which AFAIK are only available as Pro versions [please correct me if I'm wrong]), but remain as an activated Home edition?
Example: can an .iso of the latest version Windows 10 Insider (build 10547, released Sep. 18) be used to create a USB thumb drive, which is then used for updating "in place" Windows Home edition, and have that PC still remain as a Home Edition installation?
In other words: are Home Edition users who are also Windows Insiders getting newer builds, such as the latest build 10547?

When you are an insider member on 10 you can access available insider builds under windows update advanced options. Whatever build is authorized for your system will be offered there. I'm not messing with them so I can't say for sure what version you'd be offered if you did accept the update.

Just saw 10547 was pushed here.

Rebooted and installed.

Everything is good atm.

Better than the last one so far, I reverted to 10525 awhile.

Yeah, you should be able to thumb drive it, as far as I know, but I haven't myself.

Can a USB thumb drive prepped (using Rufus) using an updated build of Windows 10 Pro also be used to update Windows 10 Home "in place" (booting Home & then running the setup file within the USB thumb drive) while still retaining the activated Home version afterwards?
Or: not?
