Home edition.

It will never go to login screen and always stuck with those dots circling indefinitely.

I have to long press power button to shut down my laptop 3-5 times and restart to get to the login screen.

It's been several months now and with updates so often it's really annoying.

Anyone with same problem?

It's an HP laptop. It came with Windows 8 when I bought it.

Searched the net and found many people having same problem but no solution. :(

Quitit. It's entirely possible you busted something by doing that to begin with.

Try installing patches one at a time (or two, or five.. just not all at once) to see if you can either isolate the bad apple, or get through them.

Let it sit upon restart. It may sit for a long time. If you think you've waited long enough, you haven't waited long enough.

Might have been a driver update. Have any of the other sites you looked to mentioned a fix? If you backpedal it to a spot where everything is fine again, I would disable the Windows driver updates and see how it goes. Also see if HP has some Windows 10 updates for your model (that work) before lettings Windows Update install anything else.
