Windows 10 keeps finding monitor

Running dual monitors of different brands. When my main display goes to sleep(not the system) my system makes a noise like I am disconnecting something.. When I bring my monitor back up I get the reconnect noise and it says gsync monitor found. My second monitor is a gsync but it stays off. Only want to use it for gaming. Anyone have any ideas why windows keeps losing this monitor when it puts the monitors to sleep?
