I have an asus transformer tam100 tablet and I discovered the other day that my sound was no longer working. I tried updating the intel and realtek drivers with no change. I stumbled upon a thread over at the asus transformer forums and a post by Gtanner00 http://www.transformerforums.com/fo.../48157-solved-no-speaker-headphone-audio.html that has the instructions to restore sound. I followed his instructions reinstalling the SOC windows 8.1 driver which restored my sound in windows 1511 revised version. I just wanted to post this just in case others should have this issue and needed a solution. Thank you Gtanner00 for sharing your solution with us.
