Windows 10 doens't remember window size

Since a couple of weeks, when I resize the window of HWMonitor and Calculator, it doesn't remember that size when i restart it. Seems i only have the problem with those 2 apps and not with for example Word. I didn't have this problem until a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what caused it but what can I do about this? Thanks.

Some users have created restore points. Do you have one created prior to this error ?

I did a fresh install and I have this same error.

You have likely tried this workaround but right click on the top bar (top area where minimize, maximize and close button are located), select "Size" then resize the windows. Saved ?
If no, Carpe Vinum, and here are two apps (Window Manager and Auto Sizer) which purport to remember and restore the position and size of your programs and windows.

I had it before and after a clean install.

I had the same problem today and figured it out. Didn't see a fix for it so figured id help.


1. Size and position HWMonitor and close it.

2. Copy the hwmprow.ini file that is in your admin user directory. Mine is (C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\CPUID) Your directory may differ.

3. Paste it in the same directory as the HWMonitorPro.exe. Mine is(C:\Program Files\CPUID\HWMonitorPro) Your directory may differ.
