Windows 10 Creators Fall update boost gaming performance

Lots of people, including the guy in the YouTube video have had very positive results when it comes to gaming performance by updating or clean installing to the Creators Fall update for Windows 10. Personally the only thing I can say is that the Creators Fall update completely fixed the stuttering issue I had in the Witcher 3 when it's installed on my 960 Pro. With the previous Creators Spring update, I had very pervasive stuttering in the Witcher 3 when it was installed on my 960 Pro, which basically made the game unplayable. Oddly enough, the stuttering did not occur when it was installed on my 850 Pro, which uses AHCI.

However, I only currently have the Witcher 3 installed and Doom, so I haven't tested any other games yet.

Also, Game mode is enabled by default in the Creators Fall update and you have to edit the registry if you want to turn it off, so it just goes to show that the changes Microsoft implemented must have their full confidence, because with the Spring update, Game mode could be toggled on and off and was more likely to reduce your performance rather than enhance it.

So if you've had any performance increases from updating or clean installing to the Creators fall update, let us know! 😀

You can toggle game mode on/off on a per game basis if you enable the game bar.
Open the Game Bar while in game and you'll see the game mode toggle setting.
