Windows 10 crashes after updating Intel HD Graphics driver

Have a biostar H61MGC motherboard. Upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro without issue, but when I go to install Windows Updates (specifically the Intel HD graphics driver), the screen goes black, and compute becomes frozen, caps lock key light doesnt turn on/off and no drive activity. All I can do is hard reset. I've tried downloading the drivers manually from intel, and I get the same problem. Any hints?

Try check Windows Update. It sounds like the old Windows 8 issue with trying to do double installs.

Also what exact driver are you installing?
