I have win 7 64bit installed and the installation is a little over 1 years old now. I used a 60GB partition on C: for this install, and over a year later I am limping around with less then 9GB free. Winsxs is still over 27GB in size as we speak even though I have used and tried all the common methods to reclaim drive space and at this point have given up trying any more.
What with Win10 out now, does this version of OS use the same type or system where windows lets a winsxs folder (or whatever the new name for this might be) and insert hardlinks to programs etc allowing drive space to be double counted again? Should we all just give the C: drive with win10 on it a massive partition to prevent the drive shrinkage in the future, if this were to be the case?
Do we have to be worried about winsxs in windows 10? Im sick of it!
Thanks for any answers in advance
