Window xp sp2 or sp3?

I just ordered a new hdd and I am planning to reinstall window. Currently, I got a window xp sp 1 disk. Am I better off slipstreaming sp2 or sp3 to my xp installation using nlite? If so, how can I find standalone installation file for those?

Another question. I used to have a hdd with vista installed in my pc but I removed it. However, the boot loader still show window vista is still installed. How can I fix the problem?

1) If it's a new pc, SP3. Otherwise, SP2 for 3-6 months. If you're looking for SP3/3, go to ms site.

2) Are you trying to salvage Vista from the hdd? If you're trying to delete the boot manager, just format it. Or google for "delete MBR" if you want to keep the data.
