Window x64 Dis Defragmenter engine not responding

Added a 3rd party app that basically hosed up my window x64's disk defragmenter engine. Everything such as interface is still there but when clicked on "Analyze" or "Defragmenter" thread it not responding (NO hunging whatsoever). Here what I've done:
1) I have tried to use original x64 installion cd (install accessories) to no prevail
2) re-activate defrag32 driver (.dll) in WOWsys3r emulator.
3) tried to run in dos/cmd window

None has worked!

Is there a way to undo or recover this? THANKS
