Window in background flashing when I recieve a IM message....driving me crazy....help....

Gaim 2.0b3 didn't used to do this, I went to AIM after gaim2.0b4 didn't work, now I'm back at 2.0b5 because AIM would flash the window to the foreground whenever I got a text message. Well now Gaim is doing it too, and I can't figure out how to make it stop. If I'm browsing anandtech I don't want it to flash at me telling me that I've got an IM. I'm not talking about when I don't have an IM window open and one pops up, I mean when I already have one open, in the background, get a message, and it starts flashing at me. So annoying.

Is there some registry tweak I can apply so this stops? Going to submit a bug report (if its not a bug) but can't wait for the fix, I want this to stop NOW.

I don't have a suggestion but it is unclear -- do you mean the application window itself comes to the front and flashes? Or that the taskbar entry for the application flashes?

edit: Also TweakUI has an option for this kind of thing but it didn't work for me when I had a similar issue. Might want to give it a shot.
