Window either minimized or maxmized, unable to resize.

Can anyone help?

I have an application window either maxmized to the whole screen, or minimized to taskbar, I was not able to resize it to the size I want, the restore button does not work, anyone knwo how to fix it?

I have encountered this problem before, but I forgot how to fix it or where to find the info.

Unistalling & resinatlling the application does not help.

There are many apps that use fixed size pop-up windows, and they have exactly those options. Not much you can do with them. A good example is this forum's private message box. In order to see the "Send" button, I have to reduce font size temporarly.

It's not message or dialog box, and it's resizable from the beginning. And I have used it for several years. Just beginning several days ago, it became not resizable.

I know it's not application problem, it's a Windows problem. Since this kind of behavior will happen to other applications too, though this application is the only one have problem at this time.

It seems Windows member the position of the window and just won't let me resize it.

OK - have you checked Control Panel, Folder Options, View/Advanced? There are related controls there. And, if you have a window dragged out to fill the screen, you may not be able to pop up the double arrow movers on the frame unless you drag the title bar down a bit.

I'm assuming that the problem doesn't go away on reboot. I've seen this before but not in a while. The remembered configuration gets corrupted. I've sometimes been able to discern which entry to change in the registry.

Did the screen resolution change recently?

Thanks everyone. And I found a solution!

The program is my trading program.

I think I probably know what happpend. I used to run this program on one computer with 2 monitors setup. And one day I probably login into one computer with just one monitor. However, the configuration probably was saved on the the server, and when I returned to the computer with 2 monitors, I couldn't resize the window anymore, it's either minimized to taskbar, or maxmized to full screen.

I was able to resize any window to any predefined size or any user defined size. Now I'm back in business again!
