Window 7 restarts over and over

hey guys,
I formatted my main drive clearing the old dual set of XP/Vista Ultimate in favor of windows 7 Ultimate. I have had windows 7 on my laptop for the past 6 months with no hiccups or mishaps.............Moving on. I installed windows 7 ultimate (64bit). got all my updates done,for windows,anti virus,video cards. all was will,then I started noticing that without any warning, the computer will reboot,and it will do it again, within 15-30 minutes,and sometimes i'll do it sooner !!!!. this thing is starting to drive me NUTS !!! I have installed and uninstalled the OS over 5 times,and i'm still facing the same problem. So I will leave my problem in your trusting hands, in the hope that you are able to steer me in the right dirction

Run memtest 86, verify memory is not bad

Run 1 memory stick at a time and see if you get the same problem

Take off all non-essential equipment, ex. other hard drives that are slaves, cd drives, 1 video card.

Make sure you have all drivers on motherboard manufacturer's website.

See if any of that helps to start out with.

Also, just another note.. make sure it's not auto-updating windows.. I'm pretty sure you would notice it saying "installing updates" or "configuring updates" but still, it's a possibility
 
Reinstall Vista and let it sit for a day or so and see what happens.

Is the computer restarting itself when it is shut off for a period of time? I had the same issues you had with the addition of this one here and it was the power switch for the case.

Mine does one of two things:
either the screen will go blank,and just sit there like that ,until I reboot.
or it will reboot by itself............no warning,no BSOD,.....it just reboots and goes back to the login screen.
