I am having trouble with Windows 10. My antivirus suite would not complete a full scan. I did a refresh (clean drives) My Av suite still wont finish a full scan. I went to my event viewer under administrative events and there are 459 errors/warnings in less than 24 hours.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Run memory test on the ram, btw what AV are you using?..I would do a clean install without your AV suite, ie use Defender that is built-into Win10 just to see if it's stable, if it passes memory ram test.

That many errors I would suspect hardware going faulty like memory stick etc...

I always use memtest86+ http://www.memtest.org/ for ram testing.

Knowing the AV would help. Make sure Windows 10 is not running its AV as well, which could interfere with your AV being able to access the files it wants to.

The av is Kaspersky 2016. I did a chat with Microsoft and they logged in my pc and and checked a few things the errors in the log is gone. I still cant do a full scan so im waiting to hear back from Kaspersky. I will run a memory test with windows and memtest 86 (unless someone tell me to use something else) and report back

I did a clean install(refresh with drive cleaning) yesterday All the errors are within the last 24 hours

Kaspersky is having some issues lately so I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they are the culprit. Their stupid handling of files is causing people trying to install the latest NVidia driver to bsod. I had it happen yesterday multiple times until I searched the forums only to find that Kaspersky is the culprit.

I had similar problems on one of my older i7 rigs. Lots of errors and crashes and it also couldn't finish a scan. Ram was the problem. Couldn't get it to work in triple channel at all. It's running dual just fine with any of the same sticks.

Funny thing is, Windows 7 ran the same sticks, in triple channel, with no noticeable problems.

It does seem like Windows 10 has been bringing a lot of memory errors to light, over the previous versions. I don't know if it is because 10 is handling memory more effectively/efficiently, or it's just a coincidence.

For example, my laptop uses most of it's 8 gigs at all times (running multiple VMs will do that), but my desktop hardly ever uses at of it's 16 gigs of RAM. Both are running Windows 7.

The event log was clear last night. This morning after not being on long there are about 40 errors. A lot of the errors end in

The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.

The Open Procedure for service "ESENT" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\esentprf.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available.

Unable to open the Server service performance object. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the status code.

The Open Procedure for service "Lsa" in DLL "C:\Windows\System32\Secur32.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.

The maximum file size for session "ReadyBoot" has been reached. As a result, events might be lost (not logged) to file "C:\Windows\Prefetch\ReadyBoot\ReadyBoot.etl". The maximum files size is currently set to 20971520 bytes.

Rebooted and get errors without even doing anything. Seems like they have something to do with performance library same errors as above post all coming from system 32 folder with dLL s

WmiApRpl
MSDTC
Lsa
ESENT
BITS

Have you tried running sfc /scannow to search for corrupted system files? If it finds them it will correct them for you.

Yes like 5 times I have done
sfc/scannow
chkdsk
and ran windows memory diagnostic tool
No errors come up in any of them

System is not overclock nor is the memory.
I disabled my Kaspersky and made sure windows defender is off so 2 av suits are not running. Should i try a different av suit could Kaspersky be the cause of the errors i listed?

Im using UEFI boot (not legacy) which shouldnt matter.

Mine is littered in a similar fashion with readyboot file size limit reached warnings.

Ok that maybe the nature of the beast. I am going to secure erase the drives and do another install. If my Kaspersky doesn't do a full scan after that then i will have to find another av suite(maybe 30 free trial) until Kaspersky works it out. I see there are a couple of other people on their forum who can't complete a full scan.

Thanks

Ok so I secure erased my hard drives and re installed Windows 10(clean install this time not a refresh). I made sure to disable Windows defender before i installed Kaspersky. Everything is good. I can do a full scan now. The event log still has a lot of errors but i guess thats typical. No problems so far.

You normally get some errors in Event Viewer, however the ones I look at more are those in Reliability History in Action Centre via Control Panel.
