Windos ME locks up all the time need help??

Running K7V Mobo,256 PC100, Elsa Erazor X2 video,Mx300 sound card,and linksys 10/100 net card.
The system locks up when using multi media (media player), and installed Homeworld and can't even get past the intro.
Will Pc133 CAS mem help???

does it lock up going into safe mode?

if not then where is it locking up...is it locking up when it is almost in windows...or when it is in windows...

maybe it is failing on loading a VXD...?

Check your resources for IRQ conflicts or sharing.
Are you using the latest reference drivers for your Vortex2 (MX300)?

Windows loads fine ,it happens when trying to launch a game (Homeworld) or a large media file with media player. Sometimes some streaming meadia form the IE browser.
