WindDVD 2000 (3.0?) or Power DVD

Just got a Pioneer DVD but no decoder software. They don't provide software and told me via e-mail to contact an unknown third party. I am running a 1.7GHz, 512 Meg PC with plenty of hard drive space (120G-Raid 0). I have heard about both WIND DVD and Power DVD. Any experience with these and rcommendations about what version; I have also heard about DTS whatver that is and wonder whether it is worth getting.

WinDVD by far!! uses better decoding software... it really doesn't matter what verison of it you get...
