WinCE Clients?

I've got 2 iPaqs and another handheld pc at 129mhz that I'd add to my cracking efforts if there was a client for WinCE.

Anyone have the resources to compile a client for StrongARM PocketPC and a Toshiba R3922 MIPS HandheldPC CE vers 2.11?

are they 32 bit?

if so they should be able to just recompile the Win32 client right into CE no problem, I happen to have the windows CE development Kit for MS Visual C++, though ive never used it and its almost 2 years old now, could be useful though.

if my estimates are correct, the 129Mhz should be able to hit 330 KKeys/sec, about as much as one of the lower Pentium Pros

Oh but your battery life will be shot dead in the water, not to mention you could seriously overheat them, they are not designed to take that kind of load. If its worth it, run a power cord from a wall outlet to your refrigerator and leave them in there while they are cracking.

Wouldn't you have to worry about condensation if you do that though?

You only have to worry about condensation when you take it out of the refrigerator.... and if you let it sit turned off for a couple of hours it dries up......

had that problem with a motherboard i had in a mini refrigerator.....i used to dry it with a hair dryer....

The client on any portable smaller than a laptop(and with these new CPU-power down ones, even that rule becomes void) is generally a bad idea. The main issue is power, since as it was stated, PDA CPUs will drain a battery quickly under a full load. Then there's also the issue of heat, as PDAs aren't ment for that kind of work for a long period of time. So, unless something changes, PDAs really aren't worth any effort.

I was really considering just using them overnight while they are plugged into AC power. The iPaq's have some decent horsepower, 206mhz StrongARM.

I downloaded the client source code and will port it to WinCE as I have time.
Once I see what they key/sec is I'll decide whether or not to keep em cracking.
