Winamp Viz. Studio

Reasons
:. I can't run beyond 320x240 (fullscreen) when I'm running visualizations in winamp. I want a card that can give me 640x480.
:. I don't play games except Serious Sam sometimes.

What I have
System :: P3-900/512 PC 100
Video :: TNT2 Ultra
OS :: XP/Redhat

Question
Would a better video card be of any help? or
Should I wait for a system upgrade?

Thanks a ton,

N

depending on the visualization, you might need a lot more. My p3-866 with a geforce2 gts 32meg couldnt handle the high rez visuals running at 32bit, but if you are running at 16bit and keep it at 800x600 you should be fine with just a new vid card. Anything new should handle it.

What card would be a good match for my system config /\ ?

I don't plan to upgrade for a while now, so I'll settle with the higest end card that my system can use fully.

Some Radeon 8500 variants can be had for a (relatively) small amount of cash these days. Getting a Radeon 9700 is not practical, because your CPU couldn't keep up with it.

Even a geforce4 mx would be ok for your system. Why not just wait until you cna upgrade the whole system. You would probably even be better off upgrading to a Athlin XP 2000+, mobo, and ddr ram and then get a cheaper vid card then buying a high end card that would go to waste in your system.

I have a case from Dell (XPS-T), not sure what's the term for the size but it's not the huge tower and also not the baby size.

What mobo/processor/power-supply combo would be good for it?

Do power supplies come in standard sizes?

:. Looks like this one .:

Thanks guys!
