I use foobar2000 for audio and Media Player Classic for video. Both programs are minimalistic and highly functional.

I am testing a player called, "Quintessential." I'll let you in on the skinny once I've let it go throught the paces.

Player has been around for ages. I think I first started using their CD player in ....'98?

I heard that number represents death in some asian cultures... don't know if it's true or not.

yeah, same reason why Artric Silver went from 3 to 5

cause three sucked so bad that they wanted to merge parts of 2 and 3 to make 5?

ooh yeah .. cause Japanese associate 4 with death

it's been out forever, you're a little late on that one.

I thought the reason they didn't make a 4 was sort of like Leisure Suit Larry, where they said they wouldn't make a 4 but they did anyway, so that called it 5 instead.

2.91 here... almost sublime program

1.82 when it first came out with the nitrate decoder or whatever was pretty hot. 3.x is junk. 5.x looks too fancy. every other player sucks

I'm using WinAmp v2.5e b/c it's what I downloaded a long time ago. It seems to play my MP3's and CD's fine so why would I download a newer version?
