Winamp Toolbar

Winamp Toolbar snuck into my Firefox 2.x setup somehow, tagging along with some other application. Is it useful or more trouble than it's worth. I installed Google Toolbar for FF 3.0.1 a few days ago to get autofill support. Are Winamp Toolbar and Google Toolbar a one-or-the-other affair and therefore incompatible? Does Winamp Toolbar support autofill? I don't think that Firefox supports it natively.

Even now, my toolbars are too intrusive for me and I want to clear some screen real estate. Google Toolbar at least used to support merging some toolbars to save space.

I also have issues with FF 3.0.1 vs. 2.x. Sometimes one opens, sometimes the other. I upgraded to v. 3 because v. 2 asked me to. But it didn't uninstall v. 2. Now I get constant messages saying I have successfully upgraded to v. 3, even when v. 2 opens. It is truly a mess. I guess I should save all my bookmarks and uninstall both and then install 3. Or maybe I should just stick with v. 2, because not all my FF addons have been updated to 3.

I would uninstall the Winamp toolbar. I use the google toolbar myself, with small icons and limited text, to save as much real estate as possible. Just run winamp in the background. Winamp toolbar probably does not support autofill; this is the best feature of the google toolbar though.

I would completely uninstall both FF versions, and just reinstall 3.0. Your problem might have something to do with the shortcut icon/link you click on. Most addons are now supported in 3...mainly adblock, all-in-one sidebar, and the google toolbar are the ones I use and work great.

Thanks, seems sensible. The one add-on I had that I want that isn't yet supported is Tab-Mix-Plus. It has a lot of features but the one I got it for is mapping Control+Shift+N launch the current tab in a new window.

Mouse gestures can do that easily with a right click/hold, then down up.

And there's a Mouse Gestures that supports FF 3.0.1? Guess so. Well that clinches it. I've backed up my bookmarks and now I'm going to uninstall both versions of FF and install v. 3.0.1. Thanks.

Will "All-In-One Gestures" do this? What version of Mouse Gestures? Link? Thanks!
