Winamp Surround Sound Problem

I recently aquired a 4.1 setup and I cannot get Winamp to play through the rear speakers. Do I need a plugin or is there some config change that needs to be made? Windows Media player works just fine, but not Winamp.

It's not a winamp thing, it's a sound card driver thing. Most sound cards that support 4.1/5.1 out have a virtual surround setting. From memory though this was missing on Audigy's initially. Not sure if it's there now.
