winamp remote control

This thing coupled with Max10 is a very powerful combination. It takes a while to setup since there are so many possibilities with the mouse remote, but once you get it up and running, it's extremely convenient and plain ol' fun.
Winamp control is just the beginning
Oh, and don't be put off by the price, x10.com is always running promotions.

X10 MouseRemote mk19a and maX10 (as linked in previous post by patchy) is (are?) outstanding. I love mine. I have two of them.

patchy, sounds like you got one? I remember you were thinking about it in another thread, did you take the plunge?

Just be sure not to give the X10 people your real Email addy (or at least not your main one). They are friggin relentless with the "promotional offer!" emails.

hehe, yeah i finally got my hands on one just a few days ago. I love it to death. 🙂
ditto about the emails.. you're lucky if you only get spammed once a day by them. But if you actually read the emails, there are some pretty kickass deals sometimes.

X10 sure does like to send out e-mails. I just gave them my "spam" account address. Sometimes they have really good deals, although not as good as they used to. 🙁 They used to have free shipping on everything, and they would send out $10-$20 gift certificates nearly every other week. All of the lights and switches I commonly use in my house have been automated, I have 2 MouseRemotes, several "universal" remotes, and hehe, a huge stockpile (like, more than 20 items) of X10 lighting and other modules and accessories that I got for free during their promo heydays but haven't found a use for - yet.

But anyways, the point is the X10 MouseRemote MK19A + maX10 software is hands-down the best solution for remote-controlling your PC.

Hey, you can this link out. I sell a Packard Bell remote control that lets you control WinAmp. $6 for remote and Winamp software plus $4 shipping.

Regarding this , is it possible to use using Creative cdrom's REMOTE CONTROL , i mean have anyone developed a software for this ? .

That should not be an issue. You can setup the remote to control all applications. You need the right software. WIRC does this pretty well for non-Win2k machines. There are also free applications available that are compatible with Win2k, names girder and irassitant.

thanks,
