nice. :)

i still use itunes though. you can navigate to the ipod in windows explorer and get any mp3s you want that way -- just not through itunes.

In another thread, someone claimed copying music off the ipod was as simple as accessing a hidden directory, is that not the case?

exactly what i said. i guess it is a hidden directory; i just have all hidden directories and files displayed by default.

Been using this plugin for a while now.

Only complaint is you have to use the media library to add songs, you can add them one at a time via the playlist window, but there's no way to add a bunch of songs at once.

I'll have to get the latest version later today.

It's true you can navigate to the hidden directory - the problem is every song is named a random filename, you'd need to figure out what song is what and rename it - it's possible ID3 information is retained.

dang, I can't get my ipod to show up in the ML. Im using it at my work pc, and disk mode is enabled for the ipod, but its not showing the drive in My Computer

I've tried that, but the files are in oddly numbered directories wit their file names changed. So, yes, it is that simple, but to look at the file names to know what songs they are, it's not that simple. An alternative method would be copypod, but that costs money.
