Winamp playback/ripping problem

Recently I've experienced a problem with my Winamp 5.08e, and only with Winamp. When trying to play an audio CD from my drive, in this case The Downward Spiral Deluxe Edition, it seems to extend each track by about a second - and since that second is not really there, the last beat, or few beats, of the track repeat, creating something akin to a skipping sound. The same thing occurs whenever ripping tracks through Winamp, which up until now has been my ripper of choice. If I rip via other programs, even Windows Media Player 10, the rips are fine - so is the playback of the CD.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
