Winamp in Windows XP

Hi guys, I am using the official release of Winamp, not Beta 3 or anything. When I open new programs and things like that, the music will stutter and crackel until everything is loaded, why is this?

How do you do that? Also, my mouse seem sto be jumpy now when there is a lot of activity. Have ordered another 128MB RAM to boost it to 512MB, will see if that helps.

EDJAM: I'm also running Win XP Pro with a Soundblaster Value and WinAmp version 2.78 with no problems at all. I used all default drivers from Win XP.

I used to have that until I downloaded the updated XP drivers. I also have a CT4832 card, and I tried every single driver I could fine but none of em worked. It detects it and everything, but no sound output. Works perfectly under Windows98 SE however. The CT4832 card and WindowsXP don't like each other.

Maybe your running some plug-ins or using Directsound instead of WaveOut? Try messing around with the settings.

Actually I have changed it to DirectSound and now its miles better, thx.
