Winamp: How Do I....

So here is my problem; Winamp lables every file it is associated with as a winamp media file. I want the file type to state what type of file it really is, such as wave, mp3, ape etc. Is there any setting in winamp that will let me do this?

Thanks.

explorer -> Tools -> folder options -> file types tab -> scroll to file extension you wish to change -> "Advanced" button -> Change catpion -> ok -> ok.
