Winamp Equalizer Settings?

Hi guys! I was wondering if you could help me out. Can anyone tell me hot to use the equalizer on winamp. What does it all mean? Can someone explain the different sound waves, Db, ect.
I know it depends on the type of music but how do i get a heavy bass sound and yet still have that clear treble. Does anyone know a site that explains this? Thanks!!!!

Hit the "ON" button on the equalizer (left side). Then hit the "Preset" button (right side). Select "Preset..." and choose. I personnaly use Full Bass & Treble. Experiment until your heart's content!

I typically boost the over all just a little bit and boost the extremes with a smooth curve towards the middle. Basically what it does for me is to help compensate for the loss in the speaker's range.
