winamp isn't going to fix this issue (read their forums - if they were they'd have done so by now) so i need a way around this.

can i move the files manually from the internal "music" folder to the ext SD "music" folder and symlink them somehow to trick winamp?

either that or some way or syncing mp3s to the phone besides winamps wifi sync?

I used Doubletwist to sync my iTunes playlists and music with my SGS2, and put everything on the ext SD card, and then Winamp had my playlists and had no problem playing the songs.

i used to use doubletwist to make and then copy songs/playlists but then had probs like the app not seeing any playlists at all.

i figured a way around it though which is annoying but it works. copy files manually then use winamp PC to add new songs to playlists manually. not ideal but until winamp sorts it crap out i'm stuck

Winamp works fine for me with my external sd card. There are options in android to switch between the internal and external storage. Perhaps that will help you. I know I have to use that when I sync over USB.

it's worse now. 1st time i used wifi sync to copy files over it was fine (apart from going to the internal space), but now it freezes on 1 song. strange.

ok poweramp is decent and works properly with headsets unlike winamp.

i'll try the 2 week trial and see how it goes.

does it have any sync features that i'm missing?
